NEW for 2022: ELPRO 215U-2 IoT I/O Gateway now supports MQTT and Sparkplug for local inputs/outputs and external devices.
The ELPRO 215U-2 wireless networking I/O and gateway is an integrated I/O node that extends communications in sprawling industrial applications to sensors and actuators in local, remote, or difficult to reach locations using standards based 802.11 b/g/n.
Enabling Internet of Things (IoT) applications, the 215U-2 provides a powerful and versatile low-cost I/O connectivity solution for today’s equipment and machines. With a simple and easy-to-implement approach, it allows customers a trouble-free way to get their devices on the Internet.
Now with MQTT and Sparkplug protocol support, the 215U-2 allows the IoT gateway to be located directly at the plant or equipment. Including I/O timestamping at the source and support for connection with up to four MQTT broker/servers, the 215U-2 provides the reliability needed for harsh industrial applications.

The 215U-2 can also provide Ethernet and serial gateway support for industrial protocols including Modbus TCP/RTU allowing connection to external PLC’s, pump controllers, smart sensors, or other Modbus devices.
The 215U-2 provides robust/secure two-way wireless communications in extremely challenging indoor and outdoor industrial environments and incorporating Class 1 Division 2 Certification for Hazardous Areas.
